Final Summer Events!
Please join us for ROCK CLIMBING at Sanctuary Rock Gym.
Scouts are $16 to climb. You may pay there.
Family and Friends are encouraged to join us!
Wear your pack 60 class B uniform. (Wolf Tee and Red Sweatshirt)
Bring a lunch. We climb from 9 -1.

There is a PARENT meeting scheduled for AUGUST 18, 7pm at Spreckels School.
Please plan on attending this meeting as we kick off the new school year.
This meeting is for parents only. Please leave scouts and sibs at home.
We will be reviewing the 2011- 2012 calendar, discussing leadership responsibilities, and reviewing the pack budget. It is important that we have parents in attendance at this meeting.
Thank you in advance for working it into your busy schedules.

SUNDAY AUGUST 21 PACK PICNIC at Spreckels Park: SEE INFO HERE

SPACE DERBY SEPT 1, 2011
Cubmaster Pete has requested a BSA scout space derby during his last year with pack 60.
We have scheduled it for SEPTEMBER 1 at Spreckels School. Scouts will need to build and bring their own rockets. You can purchase kits at the scout office. We will race for fun and all participants will earn a patch. Sept. 1 is also our first meeting of the year. Any NEW scouts should be ready for their bobcat patches! We will have a bobcat ceremony that night.

ATTENTION NEW TIGER parents. Please consider being a den leader for a group of tigers. We have lots of experienced adults in our pack who are willing to help you along. Contact Debra if you are interested at debrabrau@gmail.com.

A note about Pack Meetings:
The committee has elected to change the pack meeting time to 6:30 - 7:30.
We hope this permits little ones to get home earlier for bed on school nights.
It also gets us out of the GYM on time for Spreckels janitorial staff.
Pete will continue to use a meeting schedule to keep pack meetings at 1 hour.

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Pinewood Derby Weigh-in Times and Car Numbers

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
