Come join Pack 60 as we camp out inside the Cocoanut Grove at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!

FRIDAY 3/20/15  
5:00-7:00pm Check-in at Cocoanut Grove Entrance B
5:00-7:30pm Free play in Arcade (Includes Laser Tag- excludes redemption games) Bounce House
6:00-7:30pm Dinner
7:30-8:30pm Boy Scout Evening Program
(Includes skits/performances & games)
8:30pm Set-up sleeping areas in Coconut Grove
9:00-11:00pm Movie “A Night at the Museum”
11:15pm Lights out- Quiet time 

SATURDAY 3/21/15


7:30-8:30am Pack up sleeping areas
7:30-8:30am Breakfast
7:30-9:00am Crafts/Activity areas & Morning Cartoons
9:00-11:00am Free Play in Arcade
9:30-10:30am Sand Castle Contest

11:00am Park opens! Self-guided experience begins!

Recommended Packing List:
1.       Sleeping pad/mattress (no tents please)
2.       Sleeping bag
3.       Blanket
4.       Pillow
5.       Pajamas
6.       Flashlight (NO gas lanterns or equipment will be permitted)
7.       Toiletries (toothbrush/toothpaste/brush/deodorant/face towel)
8.       Earplugs (you will sleep in the vicinity of other campers so pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper)
9.       Snacks/water
10.    Portable games/card games to play if time Saturday morning
11.    Casual/comfortable change of clothes for rides on Saturday
12.    Closed toe shoes for rides on Saturday
13.    Sunscreen
14.    Camera/Video Camera
15.    Items to help with sandcastle contest (ie: small shovels, buckets). NOTE: No glass or large
shovels permitted.

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Pinewood Derby Weigh-in Times and Car Numbers

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
