Pack 60 Upcoming November Events

Committee Meeting, October 29th, 6:30pm, BVMS Room C1
Den Leaders and Committee Members should plan on attending the Committee Meeting this Thursday. 
If a Den Leader cannot attend please send someone in your place. Parents are always welcome to attend the Committee Meetings although it's not a requirement.

November 11th Veteran's Day Flags, Garden of Memories, Salinas, 6:30am
Join Pack 60 as we assist the American Legion raise flags on Veteran's Day at the Garden of Memories, Salinas, CA. Please note the time is 6:30am on Wednesday, November 11th. This event last approximately one hour. The poles are cold and gloves are often helpful. 

 November 11th, Pack Meeting/Veteran's Day Parade, Salinas
We will be meeting approximately 1 hour prior to the parade start to have a quick meeting, distribute awards and march in the parade. More details to follow...

 November 15th, Trekker Hike, Fremont Peak
We had a record 13 scouts in attendance at our last Trekker Hike to Point Lobos. Don't miss out, we had a great time! Sign Up Genius will be posted soon!
This next hike will take us to the top of Fremont Peak, where you can see the Pacific Ocean, down the Salinas Valley, and beyond!
Hike Statistics
Distance: 1 mile
Time: Allow 1 hour
Grade: Some incline, still recommended for all Suggested Age: Tigers-Webelos

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Pinewood Derby Weigh-in Times and Car Numbers

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm. See you there!!! (Spreckels Elementary).   Dress: Class A's  Pack 60 will sponsor dinner (pizza, drinks and dessert)-Donations are always welcome. RULES: Click here for rules:  PINEWOOD RULES
