Please arrive no later than 6pm, we will meet in the cafeteria and take our Pack picture first thing! Don't be late, don't be left out.
Where: Palma High School Cafeteria, 919 Iverson St., Salinas, CA 93901
Time: 6:00-7:30pm (Pack Picture, Banquet, Bear Den Game, Dad/Lad Dessert Contest, Friends of Scouting and Awards) 
Theme: Star Wars! (Scouts are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character after the Pack picture)

Pack 60 will cover the dinner cost for each Cub Scout that attends the banquet. Families, grandparents and guests are welcome to attend (cost per person $10/each). Dinner will be catered by Award-Winning Executive Chef Jason Giles
DRESS: Class A's for Scouts and Den Leadership. We will be taking our Pack Picture and our District Representative will be in attendance so please look your Scoutly best.  

Dad & Lad Dessert Bake-Off Theme: Star Wars

Bake-Off Awards: A patch will be given to each Scout who brings a dessert to enter into the Dad and Lad Bake-Off. Pack Prizes will be given for: Best Overall, Most Creative, Cubmaster's Choice and The Sith-est
RULES:
1) Male cooks, advisers and clean-up crews are allowed to participate. No advice, instruction or help of any sort is allowed from females (unless there is no male Akela available).
2) Dessert and icing mixes are allowed; however, it has been past contestant's experience that the more from scratch you make it, the messier it gets. And the messier it gets, the more fun you'll have doing it!
3) ALL ITEMS MUST HAVE A VISIBLE LABEL WITH THE DEN NUMBER, SCOUT NAME AND RANK.
Pinterest and google are excellent resources for ideas on Star Wars desserts, cupcakes or cakes. The possibilities are endless, have fun with this one.

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
