Pinewood Derby Weigh-In 1/27/10 5:30 - 8:30pm @ Spreckels Volunteer Fire Dept.

The Pinewood Derby weigh-in is mandatory for any Scout who wants to participate in the official Pack 60 Pinewood Derby. During the weigh-in the volunteers will add or take off weight from the cars so that all of them weigh-in the same for race day. They drill a hole on the underside of the car and add metal if it's too light or they take out wood from the bottom if it's too heavy.

Please be sure your Scout's official race car number is visible on the car (check with your den leader if you've forgotten your number). The cars will be collected at the weigh-in and brought to the race so please be sure your car is race-ready! Your assigned weigh-in times are listed below.

Den 3: 5:30-6:00
Den 6: 6:00-6:30
Den 2: 6:30-7:00
Den 4: 7:00-7:30
Den 5: 7:30-8:00
Den 1: 8:00-8:30

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
