Memorial Day Flags 2012
What are you doing this Memorial Day weekend?
Please join pack 60 as we help members of the the American Legion post flags to honor our soldiers on Monday, May 28, 2012.
We will meet at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbot Street, at 6:45 AM. Raising the flags takes about 60 minutes.
Be on time to receive instructions.
ALL Scouts must look their best. This is a very important ceremony for the American Legion members. Wear your CLASS A Uniforms. Scouts should be tucked, pressed, and wearing their complete uniform.
This is an opportunity to practice service, respect, and responsibility. Please review cemetery etiquette with your children before you arrive. No RSVP required, just show up.
IF you can't be there in the morning, the entire process is repeated in the evening to take the flags down. Please check with Morgan blachly5@comcast.net for more information about taking the flags down.
There are no patches for this activity. It is a service opportunity for scouts.
