December Meetings and January Pinewood Derby

*Please disregard previous blog email sent over the weekend, it was great to reflect on the past however the info below is what you need to know.
1. December Pack Meeting,Thursday, December 12th, 6:30pm
Bring: 1 Dozen cookies or baked good equivalent, singing voice, flashlights and lanterns
Wear: Class A's or B's are acceptable too!
The meeting will include holiday caroling around the Spreckels neighborhood.  We will be breaking up into groups to spread cheer to the Spreckels neighborhood.
At the end of the meeting each scout will receive a special gift just in time for the January meeting.  :)

New Class B orders will be distributed at meeting. If you have not purchased your new Class B's we will have ordering information at the meeting.

2. Committee Meeting, December 19th, 6:30pm at BVMS

3. January Pack Meeting/Pinewood Derby, January 10th, 2014, Veteran's Memorial Hall, Spreckels

Wednesday, January 8th, Weigh In at the Spreckels Volunteer Firehouse in Spreckels. Schedule and race numbers to follow next week.
Friday, January 10th, 5pm, Races Begin at Veterans Hall in Spreckels

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Pinewood Derby Weigh-in Times and Car Numbers

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
