Pack 60 Upcoming Events, Trekker Hike this Sunday!

1. Garland Ranch Trekker Hike, Sunday, 10/26 at 12:00pm

The Monterey Bay Trekkers hiking program is an opportunity for Cub Scouts and their
families to explore local hiking trails and parks in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties. Through the Trekkers program, Cub Scouts and their families will also learn why health and fitness are important for a long-lasting and productive life.

Pack 60 wants to encourage the families of all Cub Scouts in the Pack to explore the wonderful area we live in through this program. To make it easier, and more fun, the Pack will be organizing hikes to encourage group participation and the camaraderie of doing the hike as a group.

3. Veteran's Day Flags, Tuesday 11/11 at 6:30am

RSVP FOR VETERAN'S DAY FLAGS-CLICK HERE
Join Pack 60 as we help the American Legion raise flags on Veteran's Day at the Garden of Memories, Salinas, CA. Please note the time is 6:30am on Tuesday, November 11th. This event last approximately one hour. The poles are cold and gloves are often helpful.
4. November Pack Meeting, November 13th at 6:30pm, Spreckels School
-Please note the meeting has been moved up a week to accommodate the parent/teacher conferences during the week of November 17th.

Pinnacles Camping December 2-4 With Troop 60

Families of Cub Scouts Pack 60 will be joining Scouts Troop 60 at Pinnacles on December 3 and 4. Families are welcome to come on the 2nd, please speak with Mr. Woodson regarding arrival time. Troop 60 will be working on their own merit badges in cooking, and will be preparing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night, and a French Toast and Scrambled Eggs breakfast on Sunday morning to share with the Pack. Parent assistance with preparing meals is always welcome! We will be staying at site 120 and 121 as a Pack/Troop! If you're a family new to camping, and you prefer mattresses and a canvas cabin with 30A power there are still sites available that you can rent, please see recreation.gov  to rent your site. The group site we will be at does not have power available. It's going to be a very fun weekend with scouts working toward their adventure achievement requirements, hiking, laughing, and of course, s'mores. We hope to see you there.

Pinewood Derby Weigh-in Times and Car Numbers

Wednesday, January 24th (Spreckels Fire Company Building)Please find your scout's Derby Car number here:  Pack 60 Derby Car Numbers Weigh-in times: 5:00-5:30pm= Lions (Den 4), Tigers (Den 2) & Wolves (Den 5) 5:30-6:00pm=Bears (Den 1) & Web 1's (Den 11) 6:00-6:30pm=Web 2's (Den 3 & 6) 6:30-7:00pm=Open Registration Friendly reminder that cars will be collected that evening.   Friday, January 26th -Pinewood Derby starts at 5pm, we race by ranks, Lions and Tigers will be starting right at 5pm.
