Pinewood Derby Race Day!

Pinewood Derby is tonight at 5:00pm Location: Spreckels Veteran's Memorial Hall Dress: Class A Uniform We need help setting up the tables and chairs, if you are  available please arrive at 4pm. Tigers race first, families should arrive no later than 5pm.  Wolves will race shortly after and should also arrive NLT 5pm. How it works: We race by rank. Top 3 Winners from each rank will receive a medal. Then the top 2 winners (gold and silver) from each rank will advance to finals. Top 3 Pack Winners receive a trophy and will advance to the District Level Pinewood Derby. Each Den should bring 2 desserts and a “race” themed decoration for the tables.

BACKGROUND: It's Pinewood Derby Time! Cub Scouts just like you have been building their own cars and competing in Pinewood Derby® events since 1953! At the heart of this event's success is the process itself - bonds are strengthened as the Cub Scout partners with a parent or adult mentor to design, carve, paint, weigh, refine, and race the car. In addition, Cub Scouts build confidence and take pride in their own growing skills and hard work. So enjoy the ride! Pack 60 Coastal Cleanup Day If you plan to attend:  Click Here to Sign Up Saturday, Sept. 19th from 9:00am-11:00am POC: Eric Sandoval For more instructions on the coastal clean-up click here:  Pack 60 Cleanup Guidelines This September we will be pledging the support of our Cub Scout Pack for the California Coastal and Inland Waterway Cleanup.   California Coastal Cleanup Day will be held on Saturday, September 19 at all beaches and waterways in the great state of California.   Scouting units in the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council are encouraged to cleanup any beach of waterway in the tri-county area. The purpose of the cleanup is to: Beautify the beaches Learn about the coastal environment And have fun!
