Saturday, May 8, 10:00 A.M. Scouts and their families attending this hike should meet at the trailhead no later than 10 A.M. Bring your own lunch and hiking water/snacks for the trail. Wear your class B red sweatshirt & tee so that we can find you! Distance: 2-4 miles round trip Time: Allow 2-3 hours Grade: Mostly flat, a few small inclines Suggested Age: Tigers through Webelos As always, families are encouraged to participate in trekker hikes. Here are all the details for the Blue & Gold Banquet this month along with the Dad & Lad Bake-Off rules: Date: Thursday, February 18 Time: 6:45 (Bring Cakes) 7-8:30pm (Banquet & Awards) Where: Spreckels Gym Theme: Boy Scouts of America 100 th Birthday Party Food/Service Items: Each den will provide their own potluck food, drinks, serving utensils and paper goods. Each den will need to bring one 6' or 8' table for your cakes. Your den leader will have all those details and assignments. Dad/Lad Cakes: Be sure to place a card with your den number and Scout's name with each cake for the judging Bake-Off Awards: A patch will be given to each Scout who brings a cake to enter into the Dad & Lad Bake-Off. Overall Pack awards will be for: Best BSA 100 th Birthday Theme, Most Scoutly , Most Original. This year we will also award ribbons for 1/2/3 place for each den for best cake overall. 1. Attention: Wreath order forms are due no later than today . Please text Laura or email pack60spreckels@gmail.com a copy of your order form. Bring the paper copies of the forms and payments to the Pack Meeting on Thursday. 2. Pack Meeting, Thursday, November 16th, 6:30pm-8:00pm Where: Spreckels Elementary School Auditorium We will be collecting dues at the November meeting. Please bring $100 check (made out to Pack 60) or cash. Dues cover annual Council and National fees, insurance, Class B t-shirt, achievement badges and awards. A few highlights for the upcoming meeting: • Summer Awards • Bobcat Ceremony for New Scouts!!! Please note: All scouts should practice the Scout Oath and Scout Law for the meeting (don't worry we'll have cheat sheets). Dress: Class A's. Blue/khaki shirt, rank hat, neckerchief and slide. Pack 60 does not require uniform pants, jeans/shorts/pants are fine.
